About the artwork:

The Wilderness design is based on the Blackfeet story, “Children in the Wilderness.” The story depicts a brother and sister, who fight to survive the wilderness and all of its challenges. In the end, the children overcome their trials and prosper within the wilderness. The story is one of many Blackfeet stories that my grandma, Mary Ground, translated from Blackfeet to English and published in her book, Grass Woman Stories.
